Connecting mechanisms

You connect mechanism parts using shafts to build complex mechanical systems. Shafts transfer rotation from one part to another.

To extend a shaft from a part:

1. Hold the cursor over a mechanism part to reveal a connection pad.
2. Click on the pad from which you want the shaft to extend. Move the cursor away from the part until the shaft is long enough, then click again to end the shaft.
3. You can now connect a second part to the free end of the shaft.
